The beach here was very nice, vendors can be pushy but if you are assertive they'll leave you alone. Beware of salesmen who want to take you for a tour of new resorts, they'll have you hemmed up half a day if you go with them. More

The sand is a mud brown color. The town's street gutters empty onto the middle of the beach and it stinks. On weekends the locals get drunk on the beach and leave a mess of plastic from cups and takeout trays. No toilet facilities so everyone squats in the water or guys pee on trees. More

Our resort was on this beach. I saw many people swimming in the ocean and you can find activities also. But, I could not swim there because it was rocky in some places. More

It's not as nice as Playa Dorada but it is on a U shaped cove that goes about 1/2 mile. It is clean and there are about 4 tourist stores that have cheaper prices than at the hotels. More

In reading some other reviews... the unpleasant odour is likely caused by whatever illness gripped 1/2 of the resort between February 17th - 20th. It wasn't there prior to that. The beach has dark sand - hidden rocks in some places so be careful. The staff is very quick to bring you a beach lounge. I didn't find much -... More

We stayed at Lifestyle but the Cofres Beach was by far better. They were always there to help get you chairs or whatever you wanted. Lots of seaweed but they were continually raking and cleaning it up. More

The resort is wonderful but if you have a sensitive nose, you might pick up something in the air that isn't so nice. The beach has brown sand and lots of waves. Good fun for jumping waves but not if you're looking for turquoise water and pink sand with no waves. The staff is second to none. More
