I really enjoyed our visit to Finca La Vigia. I like Hemingway, but I was more just impressed with the actual house since it is preserved as it was in the 50's. Seeing the old beds and all of the animal heads on the wall was really great. He also had some really great art on the walls. The view... more

If you a Hemingway fan, perhaps go. If not it is a moderate 1920s house with few features apart from a well stocked garden The rip off is $5CUC to use your camera....not as if there is much to photograph really, so think twice. Pleasant, but little more than that. more

On Monday, August 22nd, 2005 we arranged for a driver in Havana to take me to hemingway's Finca Vigia located in a rural area just past Havana's city limits. We arrived to be informed that the house was closed on Mondays and advised to return another day. We returned on August 24th, bought tickets at the gate and drove on... more
