Long bay may have the clearest water of the beaches we visited in Antigua (it's toss up with Darkwood Beach), but not as clear as some other locations in the Caribbean. As other reviewers have said, the beach is not actually that big, and it can get pretty crowded.

We had heard from reviews of our resort (Verandah Resort & Spa) that the beach here was nice with beautiful white sand and natural reefs for snorkeling. It's so close and free of charge, we just had to check it out. I'd recommend it as well.

Nice sandy beach, well kept. One morning a lot a seaweed had washed up and there were several of workers spending all morning taking it away in barrows. Water sports available at a fee, hobie cats pedalos ets. Also quite good for snorkelling.

The beach is quite long, the water is clear, the sand is fine. It is a public beach with some vendors but they don't hassle you. There are some hotel and restaurants who also have access to the beach

Not as long as the m=name implies and is fronted by vendors and a resort. Halfmoon bay is better.

We spent a couple of hours here as it took a long time to get there, through a terrible road with no signs and a lot of potholes...There are two hotels (one with a nice restaurant, la tartaruga) and the lovely sandy beach (which is pretty small) becomes quickly really crowded.
