I can only speak for Joe the Jammer, our driver, but he definitely wins the prize for best driver. Full of interesting information about the park, and he might even pull out the old bear suit at Logan Pass. Very glad we had this, as it was a great way to see and learn about the park without worrying about... More

Very glad I wasn't navigating the twisting, winding roads! Too much to see to have to concentrate on driving.

We took the 8-hour tour of Going to the Sun road the last day of the season - weather was beautiful, scenery awesome and the driver/guide was entertaining. This is really the way to see the park. You can book the trip on the website where you book your Glacier Park room.

Spending any time in Glacier National Park is a great opportunity. Being in Glacier and taking a Red Bus tour is a slice of heaven. Keep this in mind when taking a Red Bus tour. The 'Reds' were built between 1936 and 1939. The average weight of a college aged male in the early 1900's was around 135 lbs. Today... More

Cute tradition to ride through the park in these red jammer buses. It allows everyone to get a break from driving and enjoy the park. However, I didn't find the tour to be informative; I learned a lot about the refurbishment of the buses and not a lot about the park and its wildlife. I don't think the jammers are... More

GOING TO THE SUN ROAD - lots of slow traffic but with awesome views. Like we said, leave the driving to someone else so you can enjoy a first class ride in a old time (yet safe) vehicle. Plenty of time, plenty of stops for picture taking, and plenty of tales and local knowledge. This was a surely a treat... More

My husband and I spent several days in glacial on our way to Alaska. We hiked to Avalanche Lake. We saw the most stunning views! Also Going to the Sun Road was incredible! We want to go back and spend more time in Glacier!

Most people would think that driving the Going to the Sun Road would be something that they could do on their own. Sure you can, but how much do you really learn and see. It was a solid 6 hours of a very informative tour from east to west and back again. Our driver was very knowledgeable and made it... More

This is a great way to see the park. We stayed in 4 of the lodges and traveled around in red bus #85 with Jammer Joe. The lodges are beautiful and so historic. Our tour took us on Going-to-the-Sun Road and also into Canada. We took several boat rides and also did some hiking. Fabulous trip!
