Interesting landscape, but there are much better elsewhere in Death Valley. The drive on the road is (one way) is the highlight, with it's twists, turns and dips. More

Not as fast as the road to Furnace Creek but very much more scenic. I would recommend this as a parallel road to the one you'd take anyway. Very enjoyable. More

Make sure you do this one way ride! It becomed very obvious how it got its name in the first mile. The rock colors and formatons are spectacular. The driving is not for the faint jearted. Go slowly! More

This drive is just gorgeous. In a place where it's too hot to go for hikes, etc., this is the perfect alternative. It was relatively quiet and as it's a one-way road you can take your time going round it, stopping to look at the view. Do also take the detour drive to the Artist's Palette to see the unusual... its a quick 20-30 min drive and worth it for the scenery, do it on the way back from Badwater, its a little detour on a one way road. More
