We headed up to Cadillac Mountain on a rainy dreary day. So by the time our bus got up to Cadillac mountain, we did not get to see the great view that we hoped for. Instead it was foggy, but still nice. The ride to the mountain was exhilirating. We saw the beautiful scenes of the ocean, Thunderhole and Acadia... More

Wow. Cadillac Mountain made for a beautiful night hike with a great sunrise view. I notice that a lot of people have complained that this hike was crowded when they did it; when my boyfriend and I hiked here, we left our campsite at 4AM and hiked to reach the summit for the sunrise. We saw a few cars on... More

I would recommend arriving about 30 minutes prior to sunset and just enjoying the view. This is one of the more breathtaking views you will see. If you are a photographer do your homework (arrive earlier) to find the perfect spot. There is no real point raving to much about the experience just google some photos of sunsets taken from... More

The views were very good but not spectacular because of the pollution. Plus, it was so crowded we had to drive around to find a parking place. It was a nice visit but there were other parts of Acadia that we liked better. We visited Acadia on Columbus Day weekend and it was too crowded. We didn't realize when we... More

Accessible by road or trail, Cadillac Mountain is not very high, but the views to north, east and south are very, very special. Expect company, and wind, and often fog, but take the time to visit here. Sometimes there are migrating hawks, and always the view. Kid-friendly, wheelchair friendly, with restrooms and a gift/snack shop. More

I'm not very fond of the drive up (feels like cheating somehow...) but the views could not be better. Try to go early in the day before the Smog from the southern U.S. reaches Maine. Lots of great trails to walk around too. More

The view from the top is spectacular. You can hike up or drive up. If you go before dawn you will be the first to see the sun rise on United States. A small store is on top as well for drinks, information, souvenirs. More

Cadillac Mountain was an awesome sight. My husband and I had heard that the sunsets were second to none so we decided to take a look one evening. There were alot of people there but plenty of places to walk around. It was very windy probably because of the elevation so make sure you take a jacket with you just... More
