The temple is atop Sabari Hills. Need to trek almost 4 kms without footwear. It is a steep climbing. One of the well known temples in South India.But it is not opened through out the year. During the season November, December an January devotees from all over India come here to offer prayers. And "Makara Jyothy" is very famous here.
