I was pleasantly surprised that Bantayan Island has more to offer other than the amazing blue waters and white sands. This is one of the oldest churches in Cebu - it was constructed back in the Spanish colonial era. It is also interesting to note that the church walls are made from coral. They still do Sunday service here. I... More

Visited this church on a beautiful day on Bantayan. The church is very beautiful and I was amazed to see such an old church look so nice! We only stayed a few minutes but were very happy we made the special effort to see this church!

I liked the place. its quiet and the people are all religously praying. Priest are very welcoming. Its a nice place to visit if you are with your family. Makes it more special. Its like being blessed with your whole family.

According to a blog I read, this is one of the oldest churches in the country... five centuries old. I am glad that the local government tried their best to maintain it, but i think the inside of the church is a bit modernized. It may have been the lights. But then, it is worth the visit.

I love visiting churches. This is quite an old church in the heart of Bantayan. However, I noticed in the churches from the provinces of the Philippines, churches are not properly maintained. the roof is like a 'modern' roofing already. Like this church, they dont maintain how it originally looks. It would have been nicer. Hope there are organizations that... More

This church is located at the heart of Bantayan (Bayan/center of the Bantayan Island) If you are staying at Sta. Fe (we stayed at Ogtong) It took us around 10-15 mins going here. We hired their local transportation vehicle (tricycle) to take us to the ATM and St. Peter Church. It costs us Php 250 one way, Php 500 back... More

We were passing through,, saw this little gem and had to stop -- and were very glad we did. St Peter and Paul church is clearly an historic landmark on the island, but is also a living church for the community. The outside architecture is compelling (old coral, under repair). The inside is beautiful, clean and very well maintained. The... More

It was very nice place and glad i did visit this but the large amount of peddelers that would follow you to your cars was hard to deal with. I thought one selling sunglasses was getting in with me..

A must-see if you take the Bantayan Island day tour...beautiful exteriors and interiors present in this old church. It's just a few minutes away from Bantayan Public Market.

Im not a religious person but when I saw this church. I was amazed. We went to Bantayan proper all the way from Sta fe to withdraw on their bank's atm. It was about a 15 minute motorbike ride away from our resort. As we were trying to find the machine, I saw this coral stone made church standing in... More
