Short drive from Bangalore, about 5 hours. Yercaud has a pleasant climate. Good place for walking, trekking, or just relaxing. Couple of good hotels, GRT and Grand Palace. Excellent place for a weekend break ex-Bangalore

This is a best place for a family trip. The kids will have a good time over here. When i visited the climate was awesome and also the crowd over there were decnt.

If you have been to many hill stations, then Yercaud will disappoint you. It's a small place with nothing much to do or any place scenic. Go only if you are going to Salem for any other purpose and you have time to spend as it is very close to Salem.

The place is great for a weekend drive from Bangalore but if your really want to enjoy the place and get the best deals then go on weekdays as the whole town is empty and cleaner.

Yercaud - Great place for a short vacation from places like Bangalore, Mysore, Coimbatore, Kochi etc. drive to Yercaud is very memorable and road is good. Good budget hotels help your action to be cost effective. Preferable for a quite family vacation.

Liked the wonderful 20 hairpin bend drives, lovely boating in Emerald lake - we took both motor as well as pedal boat rides. Worth visiting once. Went up the hill. Took some pictures near the lake and left. Beautiful place, but not clean. No good places to eat or drink once you reach the top.
