I thought it is a hindu temple with lot of scaredness. I saw completely different atmosphere. There was no crowd at all, but attempt to make it to look like a crowded place. They have built cages attempting to remake tripathi here. Tripathi has lot of divinity while here nothing. It is just show of money and wealth to take... More

Before going to Vellore I read reviews about this temple on tripadvisor and most of them were adverse. But after visiting this temple I am tempted to say this is a must visit attraction of Vellore. The line for free darshan was long due to popularity of this temple but we spent Rs. 250/- per head and reached the main deity in... Such a beautiful place to visit. Though we have to walk quite far just to reach the golden temple, but the scenery made the journey so wonderful. Very well maintained and kept. Just felt soo good inside the temple ;) Must visit!

Being a Hindu by birth and practise, I tend to treat temples with reverence and as places where one seeks inner peace and GOD! If that is what you hope to find here, you will be greatly disappointed, Run away, FAST! This is definitely not the place! Everything about this temple is commercial and centred around one individual, i.e. the... More

Guys and gals, please wear long pants that cover your legs. Shorts are not allowed. We almost got scammed into buying cloths for Rs100 just to cover our legs. But that's not the real tourist trap. The real trap is when you are forced to pay Rs250 to get into the "express" queue, where you still have to wait for... More
