My daughters were zoo keepers for a day and loved the experience. They were guided through a range of practical activities.

loved the different animals, but also the fact that the Zoo takes in animals that would be put down if they cant find a home. the Zoo is well run with people who are passionate about what they do and love the animals they care for

Took the Mrs and her 2 year old nephew along. He has never had as much fun as he did here, loved the birds and petting zoo part, although he did say the pigs were "stinky" Really good play park and all food offered was reasonable in price. For a place that had such devastation earlier this year, they go... More

Ive been to visit the zoo a few times and each time there has been great changes/improvements made. The entry prices are great and theres plenty to see and do to keep the children amused for a full day. The play parks are best suited to children under 8 but the older children are able to see much more. The... More

Thank you so much for your recent comments, we are so glad that you enjoyed your visit to the Zoo and will come back again. The zoo was absolutely spotless. The new Black Bear Cafe was fantastic and the new reception was very clean and professional. The staff were all so friendly and caring. The animals were spotless and all the enclosures were gleaming. Brian, Shirley and Lesley are all so lovely and I am so sorry to hear about the fire. I wish the... More

This Zoo has struggled to survive but survive it has even with their recent fire! I'm not a Zoo fan but this one is different, it more or less saves animals that are no longer wanted and their rescue of three circus bears last year was truly amazing. I watched one of the bears today rolling around and playing in... More

Spent a few hours here today but could easily spend the whole day in the summer. Really sad to hear of the fire that happened in the reptile house, hopefully like myself people while donate, your doing... More

I visited the zoo with family (including grandchildren) after that fire .. not because entrance was 'free' on this occasion but to visit and to donate to the Fund following the recently devastating loss of animal life. The zoo's atmosphere is still subdued but that is to be expected after such a large loss of cherished residents recently. The ferocity... More
