It's the highest and toughest trek in Karnataka especially in rainy season. One starts through the thick humid forest cover for about 2-hrs hours before he reaches the first checkpoint, where he cleans himself of leech bites from the places one has never imagined and charge up for the next stretch by having masala rice for lunch. One of the toughest trekking in Karnataka because of the distance and the inclined path. First time trekkers check out the difficulties before you attempt.

Joined Bangalore Mountaineering Club on a weekend trip from Bangalore to Pushpagiri. We left at night on a Friday, drove through the night and started the trek through the forest in the morning. I have done this trek 3 times now - all from kukke side. The trek is awesome - my favorite place if sheshaparvata just before the climb to kumaraparvata. The wind in sheshaparvata is so fierce that you have to experience it to believe.
