What a pleasure to discover that small chateau a little way away from the larger chateaux where the "big" aristocracy resided. Ronsard spent a little time in Talcy which gives another type of appeal to the castle.

a lovely castle in the fields with a fantastic walled garden and fresh air ..in the middle of nowhere but close to the Loire Valley. I like a lot the small shop with many books

Although the Chateau de Talcy is a smaller one, it's undoubtedly one of the cutest. Its garden, though smaller, are an alleviating experience. Worth of a stopover to get touch of medieval life

Set in a small viallge in the heart of the french countryside this small chateau is a joy. If you are interested in the way the haute bourgoisie lived from t he 16th to the early 19th century this is a must.
