There was so much information about the city and the history that determined what it would become, that to not have a guide would be to do yourself a disservice. Tom was my guide, and he was very well versed in Irish History related to Athenry. Made the visit both enjoyable and fulfilling. More

I enjoyed myself in this comatose town, I even spent the night at a nice hotel nearby. Theres the castle and the abbey and there are famous sites up the road within walking distance if you have the time. I walked everywhere and had a great time. This place shuts down early, very early like bars are done at 10pm. More

Visited with family not sure what was in store. Dressed up like medevial king and queen with the children princesses/ princes/ knights or what ever takes their fancy.
