We spent two nights at The Park Hotel and found it very comfortable. On the face of it the Floatel should be a really nice place to stay but it has various problems. The most serious for us was the noise at night. Apart from the sound of machinery (a generator?) running, there were frequent banging and metallic noises, not to mention a phone ringing frequently and footsteps and clattering from the floor... more

It's always a pleasure staying at an Oberoi and the Grand was no exception. A smiling welcome at 7:30 in the morning and our room was ready for us (which was much appreciated after an overnight on the Darjeeling mail!). Great room, great pool, great spa, amazing staff.
